Located on two significative streets of one of the most important and beautiful ski resorts in Italy, the Street Barriers, work as public/private advertisement combination of modules which reacts differently to the viewer, based on the angle of approach while creating a visual separation from a construction site and an abandoned building.
The single module, composed by a slightly bent plywood rectangular box, presents respectively a wooden front to the viewer leaving the town center and an advertisement panel to those who approach the city center. When the modules are combined, the different perspectives generated create two completely different perceptions of the system, one of a ‘talking’ wall, the other, of an elegant and welcoming wooden wall.
Each module is designed to create a small, covered, seating space, to allow user interactivity.
