The restoration project is deeply linked with a sort of historical memory. We tried to avoid a distruptive break with the past, to create a different type of office space rather than creating another monotonous office building. In order to achieve this we managed to preserve completely the original build- ing, with all of its historical particular elements. Inside the now restored yard, where an old, broken-down warehouse used to sit, we placed a new,glazed stair shaft and welcome hall, a humble element of today’s architecture.
